Institutional Symbology
YELLOW: It means light, intellect, faith and goodness, in Christianity the strong yellow symbolizes divinity, in the heraldry the enameled gold means nobility, splendor, prosperity, magnanimity, constancy, wealth, power and light those who carried it had to defend the Sovereign with the obligation to the service and protection of the Letters before his Sovereign and Fatherland.
GREEN: It is growth, renewal, nature, in Christianity is life and in the heraldry, enamel sinople symbolizes hope, faith, friendship, service, and respect. It is a symbol of greatness, elevation, asylum, and safeguard.
BLUE: It is associated with the spirit and the intellect, it means truth, transparency, loyalty, fidelity, perseverance and chastity it is also the color of the sky for what represents immensity and eternity, in Christianity it means truth and in the heraldry the azure enamel represents the air, and the qualities of justice, obedience, loyalty, piety, and prudence, with the obligation to the service and protection of Agriculture before its Sovereign and Fatherland.

CULTIVATE: The mission of the JDC is to sow in the young seeds of knowledge to form fair societies oriented towards the common good with strong and indestructible bonds.
SCIENCE: It is essential for the university to provide training with a clear and conscientiously broad scientific vision with transcendence in society.
WISDOM: One of the precepts of the JDC is the integral formation of human beings within the community, inculcating in him/her values of life, knowledge, love, faith, hope, truth, beauty, responsibility, freedom, justice and work.
LOVE: It is the key concept driven by the civilization of love (former slogan), founded on universal values of peace, solidarity, justice, and freedom.
Coat of arms
FLAME: it is symbol of divine illumination of the spirit and purification; likewise, of the holy spirit and of the wisdom that comes from God.
TREE: means life, immortality, knowledge, stability and growth. In heraldry, it represents the stability and love in courageous endeavours. The green color of its leaves symbolizes growth, renewal, nature in Christianity; it's life. In the same way, the sinople enamel symbolizes: hope, faith, friendship, service and respect. It is a symbol of greatness, elevation, asylum and safeguard.
STAR: it is divine presence and guidance that illuminates, and the symbol of constancy. Specifically, the five-pointed star represents the star of Belén that was followed by the wise men, the pentagram is also related to the human being and science (astronomy).
ORGANIC FORMS: representing the nature and harmony that comes from God, the leaves that point upwards reinforce the growth and projection towards the future.
CIRCLE: represents the notion of totality, original perfection, infinity, eternity, perpetual movement, and the life cycle. It is also a symbol of God. In heraldry, the oval form indicated the clerical personality of the one who held it. CRUZ: simboliza el punto de comunicación entre lo divino y lo terrenal, representa el árbol de la vida y del nacimiento; también, simboliza el arquetipo del hombre que es capaz de armonizar lo celestial, intelectual, espiritual y activo con lo terrenal, racional y pasivo. En el cristianismo, es el símbolo central de la esperanza cristiana, de la relación fe y salvación a través del sacrificio de Cristo.
CROSS: symbolizes the point of communication between the divine and the earthly, it represents the tree of life and birth; it also symbolizes the archetype of the man who is able to harmonize the celestial, intellectual, spiritual and active with the earthly, rational and passive. In Christianity, it is the central symbol of Christian hope, of the relationship of faith and salvation through the sacrifice of Christ.
